Lily Wilson

Lily Wilson passed away on the 19 september 2007 age 88 years.Lily lived in wigan she had two daughters,Margaret and Rita.My nan was a wonderful lady so happy with life she was married my grandads name was bill,but sadly my grandad passed away in 1943.My nan never remarried she never wanted to be with anyone else only grandad.She had 5 grandsons and 3 grandaughters she looked after all of us when we were children we had such wonderful times with nan,she would take us to the park make us picnics.I use to love watching her baking.She lived with my auntie rita because herself and my mum margaret didnt want her to live on her own.We had some brilliant times christmas parties new year parties.At summertime all the cousins spent a lot of time together.Time went by and we all grew up got married and had children of our own.My nan had 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.As nan got older we helped her as much as we could.She use to stay with my mum and dad when my aunt and uncle went away on holiday so that she wasn't left on her own.On the day she became ill she told my mum she had a pain in her back mum gave her tablets but they didnt help later that night my mum had to get her to hospital.Mum and Dad stayed with her my aunt and uncle flew back from there holidays as quick as they could.We all stayed with her as much as we could myself and my sisters didnt sleep for a couple of days.That day came when we all knew that she wasn't going to last through the night.Myself my sister and one of our cousins said we would go for a walk we was gone twenty minutes we was on our way back when we had the bad news that nan had passed away,i have never run as fast in my life i just wanted to be with her and hold her and tell her how much i loved her.It has been 7 months since nan passed away and it doesn't get any easier i miss her so much she took a piece of my heart that day and things will never be the same love you always.
